Born Louise Amanda Harman this 21 year old UK MC is certainly not one to take any prisoners! Having being expelled from high school at the tender age of 16 by the time Lady Sovereign turned 17, she was one of few white female MCs getting around the UK. In 2005 she auditioned for Def Jam head honchos Jay-Z and Antonio " LA " Reid . After the successful audition Lady Sovereign became the first non-American female rapper to be signed to the Def Jam label. The Love Me Or Hate Me harmony incorporates song references from the Genesis track, I Can't Dance This is Lady Sovereign 's debut to the ARIA Singles chart.
