One of my favourite things with the lyrics is the way sometimes lines in the second verse are similar to the first verse but twisted around. It’s really simple yet really clever and gives the songs a feeling of urgency, makes the feelings of the songs stronger and sometimes gives the songs a feeling of hysteria. I’m sure you’ve noticed this too.
Shape of the Heart is the song that really made me a Max Martin and Backstreet Boys fan. I love the lines: Hold me now don't bother if every minute makes me weaker and then the second verse: Touch me now don't bother if every second makes me weaker.
