FIVE |
|||||
| Home | Five are a boyband from the UK. They had many hits. They broke up for a while but are back together according to a press conference on 27 September 2006 in the UK! They will be recording a new album and recording some songs with Anders Bagge and Guy Chambers. Always great news when a boyband gets back together! I hope they keep on singing their old songs too. | ||||

| 12 | Backstreet Boys | This album was the debut album from Five. Almost every song was co-produced by Denniz Pop and there are many great songs here. Interestingly, the song "Slam Dunk Da Funk" was originally sung by Herbie (aka Herbie Crichlow) and was called "Clap Your Hands", though Five's version has different lyrics and is more of a 'boyband' sound. The song "Straight Up Funk" is also originally a Herbie song (though I'm not what album it was released on). You can hear Herbie's version on his Myspace: http://www.myspace.com/herbiecrichlowllc Five's song "My Song" also uses the a similar funky groove as Herbie's "Gangs To The Max"! Also the song "It's The Things You Do" was originally sung by George (the song was called "Things You Do") with some different lyrics. I must say I love hearing different versions of the same song. What a treat! Interesting: Simon Cowell begged Max Martin to give Five the song "...Baby One More Time", but the song had already been promised to Britney Spears! (I read that in Simon Cowell's book 'I Don't Mean to Be Rude, But') |
