2 December: Johan from Sweden emailed me in October and sent me a link to the studio speakers that Max Martin uses. According to Johan: Max, Ulf in Ace of Base and very few others owns these. The price is very high. The speakers are a big sucess in how it finally sounds in the end. Max said that nothing in the world can take them away from him. A new pair was installed in the Maratone studio and have different amplifiers and crossovers, the Cheiron studio was very small so you can actally hear it pretty well on Overprotected - the sound quality is much better and the older Britney and BSB albums for example. Max Martin is a bit of a recluse, so I don't know much about him.

So briefly:

Max Martin began in heavy metal group It's Alive and called himself Martin White. When Denniz Pop was remixing an It's Alive song (I don't know which one), he noticed Max Martin's songwriting skills and Max Martin joined the Cheiron Studios.

Executives at Jive records noticed Cheiron Studios and signed them to a 5 year contract. Jive asked them to write for a new group called Backstreet Boys which led on to worldwide success with many artists!!

Very sadly Denniz Pop passed away from cancer in August 1998. Cheiron Studios was closed in 2000 and the Cheiron songwriters went their separate ways.

Max Martin and Rami opened new studio Maratone Studios where they continue to write hit songs!

Songwriter Alexandra and Arnthor Birgisson are also at Maratone Studios.
